How “Backbone, Issue 7” being banned from Etsy will affect the future of this company
New Martyr Press is interested in reaching and providing Orthodox content for individuals from all backgrounds, who understand a variety of reference points. We do not want to have to censor ourselves, or not talk about issues that we feel are important to us and to our current or future brothers and sisters in Christ.
We appreciate our time on Etsy.com, and we feel it has been an excellent starting point for us. We have gathered over 200 sales in our first year, and accumulated over 50 reviews averaging 5 stars. We have gained regular clients, whom we appreciate very much.
Unfortunately, we no longer feel free to make listings that represent us as a company.
We will be moving to conducting sales via our website through Zelle or bank transfer, or checks and money orders sent to our PO Box. We are very flexible and would like to work with our clients’ needs. We feel that this move also best represents us as a company that looks to the Saints and the signs of the times, and wants to regain a level of personalized autonomy in a screen-driven world and a sense of offline community in our company culture.
We look forward to starting this next chapter with you, and we expect to be off Etsy.com by the end of next month.
